Abstract: A system of authentication is provided including several personal authentication devices, one terminal including biometric means so arranged as to generate biometric information on the user, wireless communication means so arranged as to transmit biometric information without contact between each personal authentication device and the terminal, each personal authentication device including a memory so arranged as to store biometric data, processing means so arranged as to compare the biometric information and the biometric data, the wireless communication means being so arranged as to transmit biometric information to a plurality of personal authentication devices, each being arranged as to transmit, without contact, to the terminal, positive authentication data in the case of the authentication of the user and wherein the terminal being arranged as to open a transactional session only with the personal devices having transmitted the positive authentication data.

Abstract: The invention generally relates to the field of biometric authentication methods. The invention specifically relates to a method for authenticating first communication equipment by means of second communication equipment. Compared with the known biometric authentication methods of the prior art, the invention enables an increase to be achieved in the number of exchanges in authenticating (2) the first equipment by means of the second equipment and in opening (3) a secure communication channel between said two pieces of equipment, therefore saving time, said authentication and channel-opening operations taking place in the biometric authentication methods between, on the one hand, a detection (1) of the first equipment by the second equipment, and a biometric authentication (5) of the user and a selection of an application and an application-related transaction between the two pieces of equipment on the other hand.

Abstract: Portable equipment, a system and a method of communication between a local terminal and a plurality of portable equipment via contactless communication means is provided. Each item of equipment has a first storage medium for storing a plurality of applications, a first processing system for carrying out an application transaction with the local terminal, a second processing system distinct from the first processing system for carrying out at least one application function with the terminal, and a second storage medium, the second processing system being suitable for writing to the second storage medium data representative of the result of at least one application function and the first processing system being suitable for reading the data from the second storage medium so as to carry out at least one application transaction with the local terminal.
