  • Publication number: 20200160877
Abstract: An audio signal processing system for a microphone of an aircraft oxygen mask receives audio signals captured by the oxygen mask microphone. The audio signal processing system comprises: a module for detecting breathing noise within the audio signals comprising a frequency decomposition module and a first classification neural network, a module for detecting voices within the audio signals by virtue of a second classification neural network, and a selective attenuation module supplying audio signals corresponding to the audio signals selectively attenuated in amplitude, no attenuation being applied in the presence of voice signals within the audio signals, and otherwise, an attenuation being applied in the presence of breathing noise within the audio signals. Thus, the intelligibility of the communications involving a pilot wearing the oxygen mask is improved.

  • Patent number: 9738384
Abstract: An aircraft flight deck audio system, including a central management unit and pilot, co-pilot and third-man terminals. Estimation units estimate the quality of uplink and/or downlink digital signals of the pilot and co-pilot terminals. A control unit is configured such that, when the quality of the digital signals on the uplink and/or the downlink of the pilot or co-pilot terminal is estimated as unsatisfactory, the digital signals intended for the pilot or co-pilot terminal are routed toward the third-man terminal downlink and the digital signals originating from the third-man terminal and present on the uplink are routed toward the output of the pilot or co-pilot terminal. Transceiver units of the pilot, co-pilot and third-man terminals, respectively, transmit the digital signals of the pilot or co-pilot terminal on the third-man terminal downlink and the digital signals on the uplink of the third-man terminal toward the pilot or co-pilot terminal.

  • Patent number: 9716543
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for managing aircraft radiofrequency communications on board an aircraft are disclosed. In some aspects, a method can include determining at least one communication frequency, the at least one communication frequency corresponding to a communication center within a radio horizon of the aircraft, displaying the at least one communication frequency at an interface, and where there is more than one communication frequency displayed on the interface: filtering the more than one communication frequency according to a flight step of the aircraft in order to reduce a number of the more than one communication frequency displayed on the interface, and sorting the more than one communication frequency according to occupation rate in order to prioritize the more than one communication frequency displayed on the interface, and thereby aid in predicting a communication frequency communicated to the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 9712684
Abstract: An audio system for an aircraft of the type which includes radiocommunications units and a management unit to which are connected by cables, pieces of audio equipment. Each audio equipment piece includes a generator which, under control of the control unit, is configured to generate a pulsed coded audio signal and inject the signal into a same cable as that used for conveying the audio signals coming from the audio unit of the audio equipment, each code formed by a pulsed coded audio signal being representative of a piece of audio equipment. The audio system includes a decoder for receiving and decoding a coded audio signal generated by a piece of audio equipment and for generating a logic control signal to activate the radiocommunications unit which has previously been associated with the audio equipment represented by the code of the coded audio signal received and decoded.

  • Patent number: 9542925
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for generating sound for a rotating machine, including a step (E1) of determining the frequencies and amplitudes of n partials and/or harmonics (i) pertaining to the sound of a rotating machine, characterized in that the method includes a step (E2) of determining values (a1) and a step (E7-E8) of calculating a synthetic sound for the rotating machine, said synthetic sound being composed from the n partials and/or harmonics (i), while the frequency thereof is entirely or partially shifted by the values (ai).
