Abstract: This invention concerns a method for controlling at least one radio bearer parameter of a first radio bearer (RB), and a Radio Bearer Control unit. The invention introduces a continuous monitoring and controlling of the RAB-RB parameter mapping for new and for already active connections. According to the invention a method for controlling at least one radio bearer parameter of a first radio bearer (RB) to be established or maintained between a mobile terminal and a first access-network node in a first cell of a cellular radio access network is provided. The first access-network node communicates with a core-network node in a core network to establish or maintain at least one radio access bearer (RAB) between the mobile terminal and the core-network node.
