  • Patent number: 7270862
Abstract: The present invention relates to polyamide (A) and polyolefin (B) blends containing nanofillers in which the polyamide forms the matrix. These blends can also be referred to as “polyamide (A), polyolefin (B) and nanofiller blends in which the polyamide forms the matrix”. The invention also relates to structures with barrier properties comprising at least one layer of these blends and optionally at least one layer of another material. • Publication number: 20050069778
Abstract: The present invention relates to a structure comprising, in succession: a metal layer L1, optionally a fluorinated primer L2, which is a blend comprising, by weight, 1 to 100% of at least one modified fluoropolymer per 0 to 99% of fluoropolymer, respectively, and a layer of a fluoropolymer L3; such that, if the primer layer L2 is absent, the fluoropolymer L3 is a blend comprising, by weight, 1 to 100% of at least one modified fluoropolymer per 0 to 99% of fluoropolymer, respectively; the said modified fluoropolymer being chosen from: fluoropolymers grafted with an unsaturated monomer, the grafting being carried out in the absence of oxygen by irradiation of the unsaturated monomer and of the fluoropolymer that are melt-blended beforehand, and fluoropolymers irradiated in the presence of oxygen (also referred to as oxidized fluoropolymers). The structure is useful as a positive electrode for a lithium-ion battery.

  • Publication number: 20030170538
Abstract: To introduce polar group by a simple and easy method without spoiling solvent-resistance and mechanical/thermal properties which fluorine type resin inherently possess to provide a fluorine type resin composition improved in adhesion. To provide an electrode structure for battery improved in adhesion between the electrode active material and the current collector by using the composition as a binder. Solution measure: partially denatured fluorine type resin (B′) obtained by partial dehydrogenfluoride reaction and oxidation reaction is mixed to at least one fluorine type resin (A) at a weight ratio of (A/B′) of 30/70 to 99/1.

  • Publication number: 20020001721
Abstract: Especially for electrodes, there is provided a structure successively comprising a layer of a metal L1, a fluoro primer L2 and a layer of a fluoro polymer L3 in which the flouro primer L2 is derived from a fluoro polymer chemically modified by a partial dehydrofluorination with a base followed by an oxidation step, especially with H2O2. According to one specific form, the structure is an electrode of a lithium-ion battery in which the metal L1 is the collector and the fluoro polymer L3, which has a high content of carbon and/or oxides, is the electroactive layer thereof.
