Abstract: A device for collecting and analysing liquids is described. The device includes a flexible pouch comprising two walls configured to form an opening therebetween to introduce liquids, a reagent device that includes at least one element that is reactive with at least one component of a liquid, and a protective arrangement configured to protect the reagent device from contact with a jet of liquid coming from the opening to introduce the liquids.

Abstract: A pouch comprises a flexible bag having an opening at one end, and a safety valve arranged inside the bag to substantially prevent the content of the bag leaving through the opening. The valve comprises a first pair of sheets and a second pair of sheets that are bonded together locally at a plurality of spaced-apart primary bonding points, and a third pair of sheets, the first, second, and third pairs of sheets being bonded together locally at a plurality of spaced-apart secondary bonding points. The distance between the primary bonding points and the distal end of the sheets of the second pair of sheets varies along a transverse axis (Dt) of the bag. A further transfer valve permits a portion of the urine to be transferred to a separate detachable pouch, which may then be transported, for example for diagnostic purposes.

Abstract: An article (1; 100) for collecting urine (300) and stools (400) of a user, the article having a support surface (10A) for supporting the buttocks of the user; and a chamber (20) that communicates with an opening (10E) defined by the support surface (10A) and that presents a bottom portion (22); and a spacer (10) suitable for maintaining the bottom portion at a distance from the support surface. The article has an internal wall element (23; 123) that is situated at a position vertically intermediate between the support surface (10A) and the bottom portion (22) and that is suitable for adopting a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the internal wall element forms an obstacle for substantially preventing stools (400) from passing to the bottom while allowing communication for urine (300). In the second configuration, the obstacle is substantially eliminated so as to allow stools to pass to the bottom of the chamber (20).

Abstract: A pouch presenting a supple outer envelope having an open collar followed by a widened part. The pouch has a reinforcing element having a relatively rigid and flexible sleeve extending in the collar from a first end located in the vicinity of the opening of the collar, up to a second end located towards the widened part. The sleeve presents, in the vicinity of the base of the collar, a cut-out on either side of which are defined a first portion and a second portion. The second portion is provided with two substantially traverse tabs which face each other and which have free lateral ends.

Abstract: A safety bag of flexible material such as a thin sheet of transparent plastics material, the bag having an opening of dimensions appropriate for its use with an edge that is suitable for being bonded to reinforcement for facilitating the opening of a passage to the inside of the bag starting from a flattened position in which the opening is closed, said bag also including a first tubular element bonded in leakproof manner to the bag in the vicinity of its opening and extending into the bag from its opening over an appropriate distance, e.g. about 15 cm. A second tubular element is disposed between the facing walls of the bag and of the first tubular element, second tubular element being also bonded in leakproof manner to the bag in the vicinity of its opening and extending to the inside of the bag over a distance greater than that of the first element.
