The method also includes providing a video file associated with the exercise class to the first exercise machine, providing a notification to a second user indicating that the first user has chosen to participate in the exercise class, and receiving a second request for the exercise class provided by the second user. The method further includes providing the video file to a second exercise machine of the second user via the network. In such a method, display of the video file via a display of the second exercise machine is synchronized with display of the video file via a display of the first exercise machine.

In some embodiments, the systems and methods include a gaming platform that presents video games, virtual games, and other digital or interactive experiences to players that are working out or performing an exercise activity. The platform can facilitate the control of game actions within a game based on what the user does or performs during the exercise activity, such as when the user adjusts a difficulty level of the exercise activity.

Abstract: The systems and methods described herein perform operations to enhance or improve how content is dynamically presented to users during an exercise activity. For example, a dynamic playback system can adjust or modify playback rates for a user based on the type of activity being performed by the user, based on the level or expertise of the user, based on the type of content being presented to the user (e.g., what type of scene is being presented to the user), based on a current speed or effort of the user, and so on.
