Patent number: 11498371Abstract: A tire data information system includes at least one tire that supports a vehicle and a processor. At least one sensor is mounted on the tire and is in electronic communication with the processor. The sensor measures a temperature and a pressure of the tire. A memory for storing tire identification information is in electronic communication with the processor. A tire wear state estimator generates a wear state of the tire and is in electronic communication with the processor. A tire wear rate estimator generates a wear rate of the tire and is in electronic communication with the processor. An antenna transmits the temperature, pressure, identification information, wear state, and wear rate of the tire to a display device that is accessible to a user of the vehicle. The display device includes indicators for showing the temperature, pressure, identification information, wear state, and wear rate to the user.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2019Date of Patent: November 15, 2022Assignee: The Goodyear Tire & Rubber CompanyInventors: Nadine Marianne Kintscher, Veronika Ondrikova, Jason Mark Middelberg, Kanwar Bharat Singh, Etienne Besnoin, Benoit Julien A. Patent number: 11117429Abstract: A tire with a sensor attachment reservoir is provided. The tire includes a pair of bead areas, a sidewall extending from each respective bead area to a tread, a carcass extending toroidally between each of the bead areas, and an innerliner disposed inwardly of the carcass. A compound ring is secured to the innerliner, and the compound ring defines a reservoir upon being secured to the innerliner. A sensor adhesive is disposed in the reservoir and a sensor is secured to the tire innerliner by the sensor adhesive. A corresponding method of attaching a sensor to a tire is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2018Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Assignee: The Goodyear Tire & Rubber CompanyInventors: Julien Plattier, Jean-Claude Patrice Philippe Griffoin, Jason Mark Middelberg, Kevin Erik M. Publication number: 20210237149Abstract: A feedstock delivery system for injection molding includes a vessel unit that includes a vessel with an internal volume and an inlet for receipt of a feedstock. First and second dispensing units are alternatively connectable to the vessel unit and each include first and second ends, first and second valves, and a buffer chamber. The first end is connectable to the dispensing unit such that the buffer chamber is in communication with the internal volume of the vessel. The second end is connectable to an injection mold and defines an outlet of the feedstock delivery system. The outlet is in communication with the buffer chamber, and the buffer chamber is positioned between the first and second valves. The buffer chamber of the first dispensing unit defines a first chamber volume, and the buffer chamber of the second dispensing unit defines a second chamber volume greater than the first chamber volume.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2021Publication date: August 5, 2021Applicant: Howmedica Osteonics Corp.Inventors: Benoit Julien, Alexei Mourski, Michael Ste-Marie

At least one sensor is mounted on the tire and is in electronic communication with the processor. The sensor measures a temperature and a pressure of the tire. A memory for storing tire identification information is in electronic communication with the processor. Tire wear state means generate a wear state of the tire and are in electronic communication with the processor. Tire wear rate means generate a wear rate of the tire and are in electronic communication with the processor. Transmission means transmit the temperature, pressure, identification information, wear state, and wear rate of the tire to a display device that is accessible to a user of the vehicle. The display device includes indicators for showing the temperature, pressure, identification information, wear state, and wear rate to the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2019Publication date: June 18, 2020Inventors: Nadine Marianne Kintscher, Veronika Ondrikova, Jason Mark Middelberg, Kanwar Bharat Singh, Etienne Besnoin, Benoit Julien A.
