  • Patent number: 5045136
Abstract: A heat deformable tube having a melt liner of noncross-linked, cross-linkable thermoplastic material, such that upon heating to a temperature high enough to cause the tube to return to its original shape; the melt liner melts and encapsulates the substrate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 17, 1990
Date of Patent: September 3, 1991
    Assignee: Essex Group, Inc.
    Inventor: Benoit L. Poulin
  • Patent number: 4915139
Abstract: A heat deformable tube having a melt liner of noncross-liquid, thermoplastic material, such that upon heating to a temperature high enough to cause the tube to return to its original shape; the melt liner melts and encapsulates the substrate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 17, 1988

  • Patent number: 4705657
Abstract: A low temperature heat shrinkable ethylenepropylene diene terpolymer tubing is described which has a texturized surface. Upon applying the heat shrinkable tubing to a complex shaped object and exposing it to temperatures below 85.degree. C., the tubing shrinks radially, linearly and uniformly so as to preserve the texturized friction surface, shrinking over depressions and expansions of the complex surface without wrinkling. In addition, a low temperature semiconductive heat shrinkable tubing is also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 1984
Date of Patent: November 10, 1987
