  • Publication number: 20240056603
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for encoding images of a video sequence that includes implementing the following steps: c) obtaining an initial configuration representative of structural characteristics of a display device and, for an image of the video sequence referred to as the input sub-sequence, d1) carrying out a first spatial sub-sampling operation on the elements of the image by using a filter oriented in a first direction and including a first set of values of sub-sampling factors, the latter being determined as a function of the initial configuration, then inserting the resulting image into an output sub-sequence, and e) encoding the images of the output sub-sequence.

  • Publication number: 20230050498
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for converting an input image comprising an input luminance component made of elements into an output image comprising an output luminance component made of elements, the respective ranges of the output luminance component values and input luminance component element values being of different range extension. the method comprises for the input image: computing a value of a general variable representative of at least two input luminance component element values; transforming each input luminance component element value into a corresponding output luminance component element value according to the computed general variable value; and converting the input image using the determined output luminance component element values.

  • Patent number: 7769055
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of transmitting, via a sending device, a data stream made up of data packets, at least some of these packets including time references for synchronizing the clocks of the sender and the receiver. The method includes at least a correction of the time references by the sender so as the receiver can offset the jitter introduced by the transmission. The invention is used to offset these losses of accuracy. The invention concerns also the device and corresponding receiver and reception method.

  • Patent number: 6252613
Abstract: A device for addressing a matrix screen such as a screen of the LCD or plasma type having a memory stage receiving, via a demultiplexing stage a plurality of sequences of digital data representing the previously digitized luminance video signals, and delivering the luminance video signals to a multiplexing stage designed to select a sequence of digital data corresponding to a given combination of subpixels from amongst the plurality of sequences of digital data previously stored in the memory stage.
