    Abstract: A method, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), and a base station are disclosed. The WTRU comprises a receiver, a transmitter, and a processor. The WTRU receives at least one radio resource control (RRC) message indicating an uplink resource for the WTRU and receives grants over first channels associated with the indicated uplink resource. The WTRU transmits uplink data using the indicated uplink resource based on the received grants, and, based on a trigger, deactivates the indicated uplink resource and to stop the reception of grants over the first channels associated with the indicated uplink resource and flush hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffers associated with the indicated uplink resource. The base station is configured to communicate with the WTRU.

The WTRU may determine and may report a preferred TCI set based on measurement on a source reference signal of a TCI state of FF beam. The WTRU may be indicated with an active TCI set and a semi-active TCI set. The active/semi-active status may be switched via downlink control information. The switching delay from semi-active to active status is shorter than from de-active to active status.

A WTRU may receive configuration information indicating a time window associated with positioning. The configuration information may indicate any of a duration and a periodicity of the time window. The WTRU may receive (1) first scheduling information indicating to transmit a first uplink transmission including a sounding reference signal (SRS) and (2) second scheduling information indicating to transmit a second uplink transmission including a positioning SRS (SRSp). The first uplink transmission may not include any SRSp. On condition that the second uplink transmission is scheduled for transmission during the time window, the WTRU may transmit the second uplink transmission during the time window and may transmit the first uplink transmission only when the first uplink transmission is scheduled for transmission outside of the time window.

    Abstract: Extended Reality (XR) applications may require high throughput and very low latency. New Radio (NR) Wireless receiver/transmitter units (WTRUs) running XR applications (XR-WTRUs) may be confronted with link failures when these applications are used in dense urban or indoor environments because of these devices operating in the millimeter band. Methods and devices are provided therefore for performing cell selection and beam management proactively to avoid link failure due to objects being in line of sight between the XR-WTRU and a network node with which it has established a connection. XR-WTRUs may therefore perform visual sensing that may enable visualizing current and future radio environment and using this information to prevent link failures by handing the XR-WTRU over to an alternative network node in line of sight of the XR-WTRU before the XR-WTRU is no longer in line of sight of the network node with which it has established a connection.
