  • Publication number: 20230175273
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pneumatic structure (10) comprising an inextensible body (12) defining at least a network of internal cavities (14), each cavity having a closed contour in at least one section of the cavity Each cavity being suitable for being pressurized so as to change the inextensible body from a rest configuration to at least one pressurized configuration, Inextensible body having, in each pressurized configuration, a macroscopic metric different from its macroscopic metric in the rest configuration, Each cavity being formed of at least two substantially rectilinear channels, each channel being fluidly connected to at least one of the other channels, the two said channels forming a heading change angle, Each cavity comprising at least one non-zero heading change angle, in particular at least three non-zero heading change angles.

  • Publication number: 20220341479
Abstract: Pneumatic Structure and Associated Production Method The structure (10) comprises an elastically deformable body (12) defining at least one network of internal cavities (14), each internal cavity (14) having a closed contour in at least one section of the internal cavity (14), Each internal cavity (14) is able to be pressurized so as to make the elastically deformable body (12) pass from a rest configuration to at least one pressurized configuration, In each pressurized configuration, the elastically deformable body (12) has a macroscopic metric that is distinct from its macroscopic metric in the rest position, In each pressurized configuration, the radius of curvature of an outer surface of the elastically deformable body (12), considered regarding each internal cavity (14) adjacent to the outer surface, is greater than twice the size of the internal cavity (14) adjacent to the outer surface.

  • Patent number: 8974883
Abstract: A thin packaging film 1 includes a reference area 2 having a closed contour and which is surrounded over its entire periphery by a tear-off area, an incipient tear 3 being precut in this film so as to intercept this contour while leading into the latter while forming a gripping portion 4 capable of being pulled away from the plane of this thin film, the reference area being designed so as to trap one end of this incipient tear within the contour while the other end propagates by tearing in a spiral from the tear-off area over at least 180° around this reference area when the gripping portion begins to undergo pulling. This closed contour is preferably circular. The closed contour area can in particular be an opening, or a portion of film surrounded by a reinforcement material loop.
