  • Patent number: 8727249
Abstract: A roller mill for grinding particulate material such as for example cement raw materials, cement clinker and similar materials, said roller mill comprising a mill housing enclosing a grinding table and a set of rollers rotatable about a vertical shaft. The set of rollers are configured for interactive operation with the grinding table and comprising a number of rollers each rotating about a roller shaft which is connected to the vertical shaft via a hinged connection with a center of rotation which allows a free circular movement of the roller in upward and downward direction in a plane comprising the centerline of the roller shaft. The center of rotation of the hinged connection in a vertical plane is located under the centerline of the roller shaft.

  • Patent number: 8528844
Abstract: A roller mill for grinding particulate material such as cement raw materials, cement clinker and similar materials includes a mill housing, a substantially horizontal and stationary grinding table, and a number of rollers each rotating about a roller shaft which is connected to a rotatable vertical shaft centrally positioned relative to the stationary grinding table. The rollers are configured for interactive operation with the grinding table. The grinding table is stationary. The roller mill also includes at least one first device utilized for introducing gases into the mill housing and at least one second device for continuously diverting ground material suspended in gases out of the mill housing. As a consequence hereof, the process for the roller mill with a stationary grinding table will be continuous and the diameter of the grinding table will not be subject to limitations.

  • Patent number: 8413917
Abstract: A roller mill for grinding particulate material such as cement raw materials, cement clinker and similar materials comprises a mill housing surrounding a substantially horizontal grinding table, a number of rollers each rotating about a roller shaft and configured for interactive operation with the grinding table and at least one mechanism or device for introducing gases into the mill housing. The at least one mechanism or device for introducing gases into the mill housing comprises an annular duct having openings in a wall facing the grinding table and being located around the outer circumference of the grinding table. As a consequence hereof, a significant reduction of the pressure loss in a roller mill and thus a significant reduction of energy consumption will be ensured.

  • Patent number: 4653578
Abstract: A heat exchanger for transferring heat from a dust-containing gaseous medium to a second medium comprises a housing (3) with an inlet (1) and an outlet (5) for the gaseous medium, which flows along a U-shaped path around a partition wall (2) suspended from a top plate (4). The second medium flows along U-shaped pipes (6) in the U-shaped path from an inlet chamber (29) to an outlet chamber (28). Rapping cylinders (13), which are mounted on the top plate (4), periodically rap the pipes (6) to dislodge dust from the pipes into a discharge hopper (12). The top plate is mounted via resilient supports (31) on the upper edge of the housing (3).

  • Patent number: 4030528
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for transferring valved bags such as cement sacks from a first supply position to a second position whereby they are removed by filling spouts of an associated packing apparatus. First bag transporting means in the form of a conveyor belt has a bag receiving position and a bag discharging position and is adapted to successively move bundles of the bags from the bag receiving position to its discharge position. Second bag transporting means such as a second conveyor belt is positioned adjacent the first transporting means and adapted to successively receive bundles of the bags discharged from the first transporting means and to position the bags so received in a generally upright stacked relation.

  • Patent number: 3949940
Abstract: An air-swept tube mill having at least two grinding chambers and a discharge chamber, an internal by-pass means in the last grinding chamber in communication at one end with the grinding chamber immediately preceding the last grinding chamber and at the other end, with the discharge chamber, whereby material ground in the first chamber is transferred through the by-pass directly to the discharge chamber and oversize material is transferred from the discharge chamber to the last grinding chamber for further grinding. A unique method is disclosed in which grinding of material takes place in a first grinding chamber of a tube mill and by-passed into a discharge chamber. The method further comprises feeding oversize materials from the discharge chamber into a last grinding chamber for additional grinding thereof.
