  • Patent number: 8251647
Abstract: The fastening for an attachment of a guide device to a gas outlet housing is positioned in a region radially outside guide blades. In this way, a circumferential position of the guide blades may be freely selected within predefined angles. Collisions are avoided between the guide blades and fasteners.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 13, 2010
Date of Patent: August 28, 2012
    Assignee: ABB Turbo Systems AG
Inventors: Matthias Jarusel, Peter Neuenschwander, Thorsten Bosse, Bent Phillipsen
  • Patent number: 7845900
Abstract: A discharge region of a centrifugal compressor is provided. A scroll casing is asymmetrically formed in a circumferential direction and configured to be positioned in different angular positions in the circumferential direction. A vaned diffuser is configured to be positioned in different angular positions in the circumferential direction. The vaned diffuser includes a plurality of guide elements configured to be arranged in a distributed manner in the circumferential direction. Means are provided for positioning the vaned diffuser with regard to an angular position of the asymmetrically formed scroll casing. An angular spacing of two guide elements which are arranged adjacently to each other differs from an angular spacing of two other guide elements which are arranged adjacently to each other. By varying the angular spacings between two adjacent guide vanes of a diffuser along the circumference, the resonance vibration of the compressor can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6565324
Abstract: A turbine blade is provided with a bracket arranged in the tip region of the blade and projecting beyond the blade profile. The bracket is formed merely in a section of a surface region of the pressure side, the surface region being enclosed by an imaginary chord bearing against the pressure side of the blade body both in the region of the leading edge and in the region of the trailing edge.

  • Patent number: 6520741
Abstract: The object of the invention is to improve the efficiency of a turbomachine blade provided with a reinforced hole for accommodating a damping element. To this end, the raised end faces (12, 13) of the marginal region (11), reinforced toward the hole (10), of the blade body (4) are formed with an acute angle (&agr;) open toward the leading edge (5) of the blade body (4) and/or with an acute angle (&bgr;) open toward the blade tip (9).

  • Patent number: 6318961
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide an axial-flow turbine having an improved efficiency. In addition, the assembly and dismantling possibilities are to be extended. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the parting seam (17) between the outer ring (12) of the nozzle ring (15) and the cover (8) is arranged on the moving-blade side of an imaginary plane (20) passing through the center of the gap width (19) of the axial gap (18).
