  • Publication number: 20020143988
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method to implement an improved frame fragmentation protocol to facilitate efficient transmission of prioritized data. The system includes a sending unit transmitting a first frame fragment, the first frame fragment including a first data segment extracted from a low priority frame and a first frame fragmentation control information appended to the end of the first data segment. The system further includes a receiving unit receiving the first frame fragment transmitted by the sending unit.
