  • Patent number: 7937100
Abstract: A method of updating channel information by a mobile station (MS) that is in power saving mode is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes the MS which receives status information of a first channel descriptor and transmission frame information which includes when the first channel descriptor is to be transmitted. Furthermore, the MS compares status information of the first channel descriptor with status information of a second channel descriptor. Here, the second channel descriptor is stored in the MS. Lastly, if the compared status information are different, the MS receives the first channel descriptor according to the transmission frame information.

  • Publication number: 20100046413
Abstract: A communication method using a relay station (RS) in a mobile communication system is disclosed. A base station transmits identification information, which designates a position of a relay station region during at least one next frame, to a mobile subscriber station through the relay station, and the mobile subscriber station identifies the position of the relay station region during the at least one next frame. Thus, the mobile subscriber station does not need to synchronize with a relay station preamble to retrieve the relay station region for every frame, and a start point of the relay station region can be retrieved quickly and exactly even in the case that the position of the relay station region is varied.

  • Publication number: 20100045953
Abstract: A laser irradiation device and a method of manufacturing an organic light emitting diode display device using the same. The laser radiation device prevents the scattering of the laser light into portions of the donor substrate that correspond to non-transmissive regions of a mask pattern. To reduce the scattering, the mask pattern is designed so that 1) non-transmissive regions of a surface of the mask pattern that faces the laser source have a reflective layer, 2) the surface of the mask pattern that faces the laser source is oriented to have a certain angle with respect to the laser beam axis, and 3) a surface of the mask pattern that faces the donor substrate has an anti-reflective layer. Each of these design aspects of the mask pattern prevents laser light from being scattered and prevents irradiating portions of the donor substrate that corresponds to a non-transmissive region of the mask pattern.

  • Publication number: 20100009624
Abstract: A method of performing ranging through a relay station (RS) and supporting thereof is disclosed. If ranging is performed in a system which performs communication between a mobile station and a base station through relay of a relay station, the ranging is performed under the leading of the relay station. In other words, if the relay station determines whether ranging between the mobile station and the relay station is required and also determines transmission parameter adjustment values and reports the determined result to the base station, the base station performs the ranging in such a manner that it prepares a message suitable for a specific format and forwards the message to the mobile station through the relay station.

  • Patent number: 7636563
Abstract: A method for controlling an idle mode in a mobile station comprises transmitting an idle mode request message to a serving base station to enter the idle mode. The method also comprises determining whether a skip threshold parameter has been exceeded, the skip threshold parameter associated with a number of paging intervals to pass before receiving a paging message with a mobile station identifier of the mobile station. The method also comprises transmitting a location update request to a base station if the skip threshold parameter has been exceeded, the location update request configured to update the location of the mobile terminal with respect to the base station.
