  • Patent number: 8325131
Abstract: A system which uses movement of a human body to control a function of a terminal comprises: a detecting device for detecting variation of the movement of the human body depending on an intention of a user so as to transmit a detection signal; and a terminal for storing a reference signal according to at least one class of movement and a control signal corresponding to the reference signal, for searching for a reference signal the same as the detection signal received from the detecting device, and for processing a function based on the control signal corresponding to the reference signal when the reference signal the same as the detection signal is identified. Thereby, a user not only controls the terminal or a driving device, but also performs authentication processing using simple movement of his/her body without any hand operation. A corresponding method for controlling a function using movement of the human body is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080254771
Abstract: A mobile communication system and method for maintaining a call setup for a domain transfer are provided. The mobile communication system includes a calling terminal and a VCC server. The calling terminal notifies, when performing a domain transfer during reception of a ring-back tone in a call setup process with a called terminal, the domain transfer to the VCC server, and receives a response message for a call setup request from the VCC server to perform a call connection with the called terminal. The VCC server performs, when receiving a domain transfer notification message from the calling terminal, a call setup process with the domain to which the calling terminal transferred while maintaining the previous call setup process performed before the domain transfer, and releases the previous call setup process.

  • Publication number: 20080154148
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for operating a terminal by using brain waves. The method includes receiving a current brain wave of a terminal user; finding the existence of data matched to the received current brain wave among previously constructed database having reduced data sizes of brain waves of the terminal user and corresponding to at least one codeword; and operating the terminal according to a codeword corresponding to the matched brain wave data when the matched data is found. The apparatus includes a memory for storing previously constructed database having reduced data sizes of brain waves of a terminal user and corresponding to at least one codeword; a data processing unit for processing a current brain wave of the terminal user; a data search unit for finding data matched to the processed current brain wave; and a control unit for operating the terminal according to a codeword corresponding to the matched data.
