  • Publication number: 20150139461
Abstract: Hearing aids are enhanced by application of liquids thereto, said liquids being solvents for organic matter, or wax, or ear canal wax. The liquids are volatile. Application of the liquids to both the hearing dome ends and the ear canal surfaces create a coupling thereof, which maintains a desired position of the aids within the ear canals.

  • Publication number: 20150008791
Abstract: A piezoelectric generator is developed by providing a closed vessel within which piezoelectric powders of nanometer sizes are placed with an inert impact material and a viscous inert liquid which maintains the mixture in a cloud-like condition. A small empty space is preferably maintained in the vessel to enable free motion of the mixture when the vessel is moved. The impact material collides with the piezoelectric crystals to generate voltage pulses, and an electric current is created through one or more conductive wires in the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20140307529
Abstract: A timepiece having a circular dial is disclosed. At the periphery of the dial, electronic pixels sequentially appear and represent minutes. In a smaller central circle, pixels are positioned in a circular pattern and appear sequentially to represent hours. During every sixty seconds, a viewer can count the number of visible minute pixels to know the time in minutes. Similarly, the viewer can count the number of visible hour pixels to know the time in hours. These motions give a sensation of the flow of time without active numerical values.

  • Publication number: 20130142014
Abstract: Elapsed timekeeping is enabled with hybrid digital-analog displays which portray hours and incremental elapsed minute values, as well as simultaneous analog tracks that are coordinated in lengths with the minute values. These displays are shown in four successive quadrants and enable users to view current time exactly from the digital values and approximately from the analog tracks.

  • Patent number: 8106760
Abstract: Vehicle 4-way emergency flasher circuits are modified by circuit branches which enable flashing selected pairs of emergency lamps at a higher frequency or in other discernible different ways. These selected lamps become visible and recognizable as right or left turn signals while the 4-way flasher circuit is operating.

  • Patent number: 8044790
Abstract: A third light is added above the lower two rear turn signal lights of an automotive vehicle Detection hardware is included which senses when both lower lights begin flashing simultaneously due to activation of the vehicle's 4-way hazard warning system. Such detection also introduces current pulses to the third light which flashes simultaneously with the lower two lights to generate a triangular configuration of the three flashing lights. Retrofit circuitry is described to enable installing the modified triangular signal into existing vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20110234051
Abstract: A self-charging device includes a passageway which has piezoelectric elements at its opposite ends. A mobile member is located within the passageway and configured to travel between and collide with the piezoelectric elements. Collisions generate electrical voltage and current. Conductive leads transmit current from the piezoelectric elements to a circuit or to a storage member such as a capacitor or a battery.

  • Patent number: 7808376
Abstract: Potential disadvantages of the enhanced emergency hazard warning lights set forth in U.S. Pat. No. 7,352,278 are overcome by adding a lamp that beams its light rearward toward approaching traffic, is located approximately midway between and above the horizontal alignment of the rear turn signal lamps, thereby forming a triangular flashing emergency hazard warning signal that cannot be discontinued or otherwise disturbed when the vehicle's brakes and brake lights are simultaneously operated.

  • Publication number: 20100228466
Abstract: An internal combustion engine in which intake and exhaust valve timing is varied to improve cold-start performance and emissions and to increase cylinder-out temperatures under certain operating conditions. Valve timing is controlled to modify in-cylinder conditions to enhance certain physical and chemical processes. Valve timing is preferably determined based on measurement and calculation of engine operating parameters.

  • Patent number: 7719145
Abstract: Enhanced internal electrical generators are provided which include pole pieces that form air gaps flanked with conductive wire coils. Rotatable armatures supporting permanent magnets are arranged to swing or revolve relative to the air gaps such that the magnetic flux thereof is intersected by the wire coils to generate electrical voltage and current therein. These generators may be incorporated within the housing of many portable devices such as cell phones to self generate electrical current useful for operating the device or recharging its batteries or other component that stores the generated electrical energy.

  • Publication number: 20090095125
Abstract: Self powered cell phones are operated with a rotatable crank shaft, the rotary motion of which is translated by cam or slotted slider crank-driven gear trains into pivoting motions of an internal armature, in reciprocal alternating opposite directions, whereby one or more conductive wire coils, supported by the armature, are caused to intersect the magnetic flux of one or more permanent magnets disposed within the cell phones, thereby generating electrical voltage and current for operating, charging or recharging the cell phone batteries. Recharging mechanisms are provided which can be manually or flywheel operated to impart the pivotal motions of the armature and supply the current generated therein directly to the cell phone batteries.
