  • Patent number: 8793338
Abstract: An approach for providing content transmission upon placement of a call on hold is disclosed. A data communications system includes a proxy server that is configured to receive a message from a first client indicating the hold condition of a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) call with a second client. The system also includes a content server (e.g., music server) that is configured to transmit the content stored therein to the second client in response to a request message from the server.

  • Patent number: 8694565
Abstract: Language-integrated query (LINQ) operators can be extended to a set of vectors associated with a digital signal processing (DSP) environment. A language-integrated query (LINQ) operator can be created to execute a change of basis for a set of vectors. LINQ operators can be further be utilized with specifically generated parameters to perform a change of basis for the set of vectors. Additionally, the standard LINQ operators can be extended to enable querying with LINQ against the set of vectors.

  • Patent number: 8605711
Abstract: An approach for supporting telephony services for use over a data network that includes at least one of the Internet and a private Intranet is disclosed. A communications system includes a switch that is coupled to a telephone network and is configured to determine presence of a dialing prefix of a call. The system also includes a gateway that is coupled to the data network and configured to communicate with the switch. The switch selectively routes the call based upon the presence of the dialing prefix to the gateway.

  • Patent number: 6928150
Abstract: An approach for providing charging information of a call established over a data network is disclosed. A communications system includes a user agent that initiates a call to another user agent according to an application layer protocol. The system also includes a network element that assists in establishing the call and forwards information indicating that the call is chargeable to the user agent. The present invention has particular applicability to SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) IP (Internet Protocol) telephony services.

  • Patent number: 4875316
Abstract: An improved metal and wood window frame assembly is disclosed in which the combination wood and metal window frame assembly has relatively thick wood frame members facing the interior of the building which are mechanically joined to the metal primary window frame by tight, deep-keyed interconnections. The primay metal frame comprises two separate metal frame members which are rigidly connected by a thermal break insulator. The wooden glazing bead members, due to their deep-keyed interconnection to the metal frame, provide rigid glass stops for the glass pane assembly. The thick wood frame members provide significantly improved sound transmission, thermal quality and rigidity properties to the combination window frame assembly made according to the present invention.
