Abstract: A double leaf hatch cover comprises first and second hatch cover portions. Cooperating interfitting seal components seal the gap between adjacent edges of the hatch cover portions. A dam structure is provided along the edge of a first of the hatch cover portions. The dam portion includes an upwardly extending dam projection. An elongated shield is provided along the edge of the second of the hatch cover portions. The shield overlies the dam with the dam projection engaging a gap seal member in the channel when the hatch cover portions are closed. A peripheral seal is provided along the upper edge of an upright wall of the frame. A side gap seal is provided at each of the respective sides of the hatch cover to seal the side gap between the perimeter seal and the gap seal member.

Abstract: A pile tip is disclosed for use in driving interconnected piles into the ground. The pile tip includes a load bearing base which includes a ground engaging surface which engages and penetrates the ground as the piles are driven in tandem. Pile receiving sockets project from the base in a direction opposite to the ground engaging surface for receiving ends of the piles and for protecting the received ends as the piles are driven. The base also protects the joint or connector used to interconnect the piles.
