  • Patent number: 6786019
Abstract: Floor covering hard panels having at least on two opposite edges, coupling elements made in one piece with the panels, so that several ones of such panels can be mutually coupled, whereby these coupling elements provide for an interlocking in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the panels, as well as in a direction perpendicular to the edges and parallel to the plane of the panels, and whereby these coupling elements are made such that the panels can be rotated into and/or out of one another at least along the above-mentioned edges. The panels are provided, at least on the above-mentioned edges, near the top side, with a part from which has been removed an amount of material such as by a bevel.

  • Patent number: 6772568
Abstract: The invention concerns a floor covering formed of hard panels (2) which are provided, at least on two opposite edges (3-4, 5-6), with coupling devices (7) made in one piece with the panels (2), whereby these coupling devices (7) provide for an interlocking in a direction (R1) perpendicular to the plane of the floor covering (1), as well as in a direction (R2) perpendicular to the edges (3-4, 5-6) concerned and parallel to the plane of the floor covering (1). These coupling devices (7) comprise a tongue (8) and a groove (9). The lip (11) which is situated on the bottom side of the groove (9) is longer than the lip (10) on the top side. The edge (5) which is provided with the tongue (8) is made elastically flexible.

  • Patent number: 6766622
Abstract: Floor covering, consisting of floor panels (1) based on a fiber-like material bound by a binding agent, more particularly MDF or HDF, which, at least at their edges, are connected to each other by means of a connection, more particularly a tongue-and-groove connection (2-3) which connection consists of coupling parts which are made in one piece with the floor panels and is shaped in such a manner that the floor panels (1) are locked glue-free in the direction parallel to the plane of the floor covering and transverse to the connection, as well as in a direction perpendicular to this plane, characterized in that, at least at the location where the floor panels (1) cooperate with each other, a sliding agent (12-12A) is provided at least on one of the floor panels (1).

  • Publication number: 20040003692
Abstract: A machine for fabricating ornamental bows feeds slit sheet material from a roll, and cuts trapezoidal or truncated-triangle portions from the roll. The cut sheets are translated by a rotatable transfer head to a roll-up station, where a folding apparatus or harp receives the sheets. The folding harp has smaller dimensions than the separated sheets, so there is an overlap. The harp folds, to juxtapose border portions of the sheets. A hold-down bar presses the protruding borders onto a row of needles on the upper surface of a roll-up bar. An element guard bar is lowered, to press loops of the bow onto a front surface of the roll-up bar. A collet is introduced and grasps the sheets, and is raised and rotated to roll up one edge of the sheets against the upper surface of the roll-up bar. When rolling is finished, fingers grasp the hub of the bow, and the collet is retracted. The fingers carry the bow to a glue operation for finishing.

  • Publication number: 20030175317
Abstract: Storage stable multiple emulsions of a polar phase A1, a nonpolar phase B and a polar phase A2, or of a nonpolar phase B1, a polar phase A and a nonpolar phase B2, employ particulate solids smaller than 1 &mgr;m to stabilize the resulting A1/B/A2 or B1/A/B2 multiple emulsions against coalescence, with the proviso that surface-active substances are present only up to a maximum concentration of less than 0.1 times the critical micelle concentration of the surface-active substances in phase A, A1, A2. The multiple emulsions have numerous uses including controlled release of active substances from a dispersed phase.
