    Abstract: Mixtures containing ethylene glycol and N-methylpyrrolidone can be separated by azeotropic distillation by employing a C.sub.7 -C.sub.10 hydrocarbon, having a boiling point between 110.degree. and 190.degree. C. as the azeotroping agent. An azeotrope of the hydrocarbon and ethylene glycol constitutes the overhead product while the bottoms product comprises N-methylpyrrolidone.
