  • Patent number: 5329052
Abstract: The invention relates to novel odorants derived from formylpinane. In particular, these are compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents H or C--C alkyl, for example methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl etc., preferably methyl or ethyl, preferably methyl or ethyl, n represents 0 or 1 and the notation represents a single or double bond I.

    Assignee: Givaudan-Roure Corporation
Inventors: Bernard Auger, Jerzy A. Bajgrowicz, Edouard Giraudi
  • Patent number: 4190561
Abstract: Novel esters of cyclohexene are disclosed having the formula ##STR1## in which R represents hydrogen or a hydrocarbon group containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. These novel esters display a wide range of interesting odoriferous properties. A process for the preparation of said esters is also disclosed.

Date of Patent: February 26, 1980
Assignee: Societe Anonyme Roure Bertrand Dupont
Inventors: Bernard Auger, Marcel Plattier, Paul J. Teisseire
  • Patent number: 3951875
Abstract: Oderiferous compositions containing certain novel 1,1-dialkyl naphthopyrans are disclosed. The 1,1-dialkyl naphthopyrans involved have the formula ##SPC1##Wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represent a lower alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and the dotted lines indicate an optional double bond emanating from the carbon atom in the 4a position, and mixtures thereof. R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 preferably both represent methyl.Processess for the production of said 1,1-dialkyl naphthopyrans are also disclosed.
