Abstract: In one embodiment, a filter assembly for use in an insufflation system is described. The filter assembly comprises: a filter medium operative to filter medical gases; a housing comprising an inlet, an outlet and the filter medium, the housing defining a gases flow path through the filter medium between the inlet and the outlet; and at least one heating element being positioned in the housing and being configured to heat the filter medium; and wherein, the at least one heating element is spaced apart from the filter medium and from an inner surface of the housing.

Abstract: A hermetic closure cap of resilient thermoplastic material constructed so as to be removably securable in an aperture made in a rigid sheet.This cap is retained by a normally non-deformable but laterally retractable part pressing against the edges of the rigid sheet defining the aperture and which cap is maintained in position before opening by a removable locking element which is inserted into a slot in the cap that is of similar cross-section to that of the locking element.The sealing cap thus designed can be used, for example, in cans containing a beverage under pressure.

Abstract: This invention is addressed to a new and improved method for sealing an opening in a rigid panel in which first and second sealing members are inserted into the opening in the rigid panel, and subjected to a first lateral mechanical tension, the members are then heated, preferably by ultrasonic heating means and then the members are subjected to a second mechanical tension.
