Abstract: Detergent cosmetic compositions comprising a washing base and at least one amphoteric starch. This combination can give at least one cosmetic property such as, ease of styling, lightness and suppleness of treated hair, and can have good working properties such as good intrinsic washing power and good foaming power. These compositions can be used for washing and/or conditioning a keratin material, such as the hair or the skin.
