  • Patent number: 10590058
Abstract: A process for synthesizing a product of formula Br—(CH2)n—R by hydrobromination, by reacting: a reagent of formula (I) R1-CH?CH—R2 in which R1 and R2, identical or different, are chosen from H or an alkyl radical comprising 1 to 30 carbon atoms, which is saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, functionalized or non-functionalized, with a molar excess of HBr relative to the reagent of formula (I), in the presence of a radical initiator, and optionally in the presence of at least one solvent, said process including a step A of mixing at least reagent I and the HBr, each of the latter arriving in the form of a flow of liquid into a mixing device dA.

  • Patent number: 5545773
Abstract: In an improved process and plant for carrying out liquid phase fluorination in the presence of a catalyst, consisting in reacting hydrofluoric acid and an organic starting material in a reaction zone, and in separating, in a separating zone, reactional mixture and at least one light fraction containing the desired fluorinated organic products and at least a first part of the sub-fluorinated organic products formed, and a heavy fraction that includes the remainder of the sub-fluorinated organic products formed, and further comprising partial condensation of the said light fraction in order to obtain a gaseous phase containing the desired fluorinated organic products and a liquid phase containing said first part of the said sub-fluorinated organic products, said heavy fraction being returned to said reaction zone and said liquid phase being returned as a reflux to the top of the separation zone, intermediate recovery is carried out at, or in the proximity of, the lower portion of said separation zone.

  • Patent number: 5315045
Abstract: The invention relates to hydrogenolysis of a chlorofluoroethane XYClC--CClX'Y' or of a chlorofluoroethylene XClC.dbd.CX'Y (where at least one of the symbols X, X', Y and Y' is a fluorine atom and the others are hydrogen or chlorine atoms) which is performed on a mixed catalyst based on copper or silver and on at least one platinum group metal (Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, Pt), these metals being deposited on a support.Even at low operating temperatures, excellent degrees of conversion and selectivities for fluoroethylenes and/or chlorofluoroethylenes are obtained.
