  • Patent number: 6754075
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor-fan unit (1) comprising a casing (10), a turbine (12) housed in the casing to generate an air flow therein, a motor (14) for driving the turbine, a support (20) for the motor, also forming a cover that closes off the casing on one side (10a) thereof, and a motor control module (30) associated with at least one radiator dissipating heat generated by components of the control module and exposed to the air flow generated in the casing. The control module (30) is mounted on the motor support cover (20) on the outside thereof and the radiator is at least partially engaged through at least one opening made in the motor support cover and opening laterally into the casing.

  • Patent number: 6332759
Abstract: A heating and/or air-conditioning installation with a motor-driven fan unit has a motor driving a turbine, a speed control module and a volute housing the motor and forming an outlet channel for airflow at the periphery of the turbine. The speed control module is mounted at the periphery of the motor and has an electrical connector engaging a connector of the motor. It also has one or more walls of thermally conducting material and in contact with the outlet channel to cool the module.

  • Patent number: 6098948
Abstract: A motor having radial fastening lugs received damping elements which are adapted to be lodged in matching cavities defined within a housing, with each of the said cavities having open radial and axial faces for enabling the said motor to be introduced or removed axially. The device also includes a retaining member, the shape of which is matched to that of the housing, and which includes at least one engagement surface for supporting each damping element in the region of the open axial face of the cavity in which it is lodged, and removable fastening means between the housing and the retaining member, for axially immobilizing each fastening lug within a cavity. The damping elements include on their outer faces a plurality of grooves which enable the retaining member to be trapped axially by the fastening means and, at the same time, elastic decoupling to be obtained in all directions between the motor and the housing.

  • Patent number: 6095752
Abstract: A centrifugal blower impeller for a vehicle heating and ventilation system has a central hub, a peripheral crown having a set of vanes for drawing the air axially through the crown, to deliver the air radially towards the outside, and a set of arms, spaced apart at regular intervals and joining the hub to the crown. This set of arms defines a generally concave bowl-shaped envelope, with the arms being joined to the hub in the center of the bowl and with the crown at its periphery. At least some of the arms have reinforcing ribs close to the junction between the arm and the hub. Each rib lies in an axial plane and is on the side of the arm corresponding to the concavity of the bowl.
