Abstract: Heavy weight stretch fabrics comprising ethylene/?-olefin interpolymer are described. The fabric often has a weight of at least 10 ounces per square yard measured according to ASTM 3776 and has a stretch of at least 10 percent measured according to ASTM D3107. These fabrics exhibit excellent chemical, resistance (for example chlorine or caustic resistance) and durability, that is they retain their shape and feel over repeated exposure to processing conditions, such as stone-washing, dye-stripping, PET-dyeing and the like, and industrial laundry conditions.

Abstract: Compositions suitable for fibers have been discovered that faciliate unwinding of the fibers. The compositions typically comprise an ethylene/?-olefin interpolymer and a fatty acid amide comprising from about 25 to about 45 carbon atoms per molecule. The compositions may be made into fibers useful for knit or woven fabrics.

Abstract: Granular detergent compositions having an effective suds controlling agent comprising a suds-controlling silicone material which is substantially removed from contact with the surfactant component or alkaline component of the composition by incorporation in, e.g., a polyethylene glycol carrier, with preferably a small amount of fatty acid, in an irregularly shaped particle having a minimum dimension of at least about 0.05 cm. and being substantially free of water soluble inorganic salts.
