Abstract: A reclining chair has a headrest upholstered directly to the front edge of the back of the chair which is automatically adjustable with respect to each of the positions of the reclining chair. The headrest is adapted to move between a position wherein it lies generally flat rearwardly of the back and a position wherein the headrest swings forwardly into a position to comfortably support the user's neck. In order to coordinate movement of the headrest between the positions of the chair, the chair includes a contoured moveable rear support member.

Abstract: A mattress guard is disclosed for use in a convertible sofa bed having an air inflatable mattress supported on the mattress support of a folding bed mechanism frame. The mattress guard includes a pair of flexible guard members adapted to be placed on opposed edges of the mattress, elastic straps resiliently securing the guard members together along the top surface of the mattress and attachment devices for securing the guard members to the mattress support below the mattress. The guard members hold the bedding for the mattress securely against the mattress and prevent it from becoming entrapped in the folding mechanism when the bed is folded. In addition the mattress, will be compressed when air is released therefrom prior to folding of the sofa bed to space its edges away from the mechanism.

Abstract: A convertible sofa bed mechanism is disclosed which is adapted to be mounted in a frame and includes a foldable bed frame having at least a leg and a head section articulated together for folding within the frame. The head section is rigid and is adapted to move between a first storage and a second sleep position parallel to its first position. The linkage mechanism mounts the bed frame in the sofa frame and operates to move the bed frame between folded and unfolded positions. The linkage mechanism includes a mobile link which moves at least in pivotal rotation during movement of the head section between its first and second positions. A headboard is pivotally mounted on the head section and extends across the frame.

Abstract: The present invention relates to peptide derivatives of the general formula:R--X--Y--Statyl.sub.1 --Ala--Statyl.sub.2 --R' (1),in which:Statyl.sub.1 and Statyl.sub.2 represent the radical derived from the aminoacid statine,R denotes a hydrogen atom or an acylating group attached to the terminal amino group of the aminoacid X--,X and Y, which are identical or different, denote aminoacids of the L or D configuration if a center of asymmetry exists in the molecule, and optionally protected in their side chain, with the proviso that X and Y cannot simultaneously denote valine, andR' denotes OH, O-lower alkyl, NH.sub.2 or a group NH-R.sub.1, in which R.sub.1 represents a lower alkyl or lower aralkyl group.It also relates to a process for the preparation of the products of the formula (1) and to the medicaments containing a product of the formula (1) as the active principle.
