The reservoir contains a viscous aqueous thixotropic planting fluid (12). The wall of said container comprises a further plant growth medium. The module provides a means for the improved propagation of plant cuttings, such as may result from improved rooting, reduced handling of cuttings and minimal root disturbance when planting on.
