  • Patent number: 10466765
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include a power management unit for controlling power in a microcontroller. The unit causes a first voltage to be provided in an active mode. In a sleep mode, the unit determines whether a supply voltage is less than an upper reference voltage and, if so, cause a second voltage greater than the first voltage to be provided. If not, the unit inhibits operation of voltage regulation of power supplied to the microcontroller. After inhibition of operation of voltage regulation, the unit determines whether the supply voltage has fallen to a lower reference voltage and, if so, applies the second voltage to the microcontroller.

Date of Patent: November 5, 2019
    Assignee: MICROCHIP TECHNOLOGY INCORPORATED
Inventors: Sebastien Jouin, Patrice Menard, Thierry Gourbilleau, Mikael Tual, Thibault Kervaon, Bernard Coloma

  • Patent number: 9257153
Abstract: A microcontroller system is determining to exit a power saving mode and, in response, enable a reference current source to begin providing a reference current for a memory module. The microcontroller system determines that the reference current has reached a substantial fraction of a target reference current, and, in response to determining that the reference current has reached a substantial fraction of the target reference current, enables the memory module to begin performing one or more memory operations.

  • Patent number: 7352275
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for comparing two words, N and P, of n bits each. The device includes at least one comparator block comprising n basic comparator blocks which can each be used to compare bits Ni and Pi of digit place i of words N and P, whereby 0=i=n?1. Moreover, each basic comparator block comprises: a first sub-block which can be used to generate a first signal indicating whether or not bits Ni and Pi are equal, said signal being generated at the output of the sub-block forming a first output (OUT_XORi) of the basic comparator block; a second sub-block which can be used to generate a second signal indicating which enables the second signal to pass to a second output (SOUTi) of the basic comparator block if the first signal indicates that bits Ni and Pi are not equal and which, in the opposite case, enables the second signal to be blocked.

  • Publication number: 20030112048
Abstract: The invention relates to a micro-electronic pulse generator circuit, delivering a pulse at an output as a function of two input signals, a command signal (PH_IN) and a control signal (ENABLE), including a first and a second memory point and a time-delay module mounted in series, said time-delay module delivering said pulse as an output, said memory points each including reset to zero means controlled by said command signal and said control signal respectively.
