Abstract: In the method according to the invention, a layer of polyurethane elastomer for obtaining a polyurethane skin (5) is produced, in a first step, against a mould surface (1). In a second step, a reaction mixture for obtaining a polyurethane foam layer (6) is applied against this polyurethane skin (5). In a third step, a suitable polyurethane or polyisocyanurate reaction mixture for obtaining a rigid synthetic carrier (8) is applied against the polyurethane foam layer (6). In this way, a synthetic trim part is obtained which is easier to recycle. This method can moreover also be performed easier.

Abstract: A method is disclosed of making in a mould cavity objects having an outer wall from a micro-cellular or non-cellular elastomer (7) and a core consisting at least partly of a synthetic foam (9), including the following steps: in a first step, a layer (7) of the elastomer is applied by spraying onto the surface (1) defining the mould cavity, and then, in a second step, before the elastomer is completely cured, a reaction mixture for obtaining a synthetic foam (9) is injected in the thus by the formed elastomer layer (7) defined space (8) of the mould cavity and wherein, in a third step, after the synthetic foam (9) has been cured substantially completely and forms a whole with the elastomer layer (7), the thus obtained object is demoulded.

Abstract: A device for at least partially encapsulating a border of a substantially sheet shaped element, and including a mould having at least two parts for pressing therebetween the element. The mould has a shape such that, when the element is pressed between the parts of the mould, a cavity is formed around the border. The device has an injection opening for injecting a moulding substance into the cavity. The cavity is formed by an elastically deformable member having a profile which extends along an encapsulation borderline of the element and which is adapted to be elastically deformed while maintaining a tight contact along the encapsulation borderline when pressure is applied thereon in order to follow irregularities in the element along the borderline. Also, a method for at least partially encapsulating a border of a substantially sheet shaped element.

Abstract: A spray nozzle for spray gun for forming a polyurethane layer on a surface by spraying the reaction components for obtaining this polyurethane. A spray piece (21) with a funnel-shaped cavity (27) is connected to a supply channel (19) of the reaction components and flows out in a cylindrical channel (29) which connects this cavity (27) to a spray opening 22. A core (17) is detachably placed in the spray piece (21) and allows the reaction components and/or the already formed polyurethane to be fed according to a screw or whirling movement through the spray opening. The core has a conical part which rests against an inner conical wall of the cavity. Formed in the conical core part are spiraled grooves (23) which impart a screw or whirling motion to the reaction components and which are in communication with respective core borings (40) which open into the supply channel (19) at a common point.
