  • Patent number: 4903850
Abstract: A vaporizing device, preferably in the form of an inhaler, for directing steam in a downstream direction to the region of a user's face. A steam generating and control section includes a cup member for receiving a liquid to be vaporized, and a heater means is provided in a recess of the cup member for heating the liquid to generate steam. The generated steam is directed through a hood section attached to the steam generating and control section for directing the steam in a downstream direction to a user's face. The steam generating and control section includes at least one air-inlet slot for permitting ambient air to enter the device, an exit slot for permitting steam to exit the device, and an adjustable valve assembly downstream of the cup, air-inlet slot and exit slot to adjust the volume and velocity of steam flowing into the hood section.

  • Patent number: 4816644
Abstract: An apparatus for vaporizing a liquid for use in facial treatment is provided which includes a base unit for containing and vaporizing the liquid, the base unit having an opening therein to allow the liquid when vaporized to exit therethrough, and further including a hood overlying the opening for channeling the vaporized liquid exiting from the base unit. The hood includes a shield which is collapsible between open and closed positions for channeling the vaporized liquids. The shield preferably is formed from a single sheet of material divided into a plurality of panels separated by hinge lines. Lock means are provided for preventing the shield from collapsing between the open and closed positions.

  • Patent number: 4167075
Abstract: A meditation aid is provided which has a rigid frame whose periphery defines a geometric shape. A plurality of identical flexible means for suspending the frame are attached to it and joined at a single point. The suspending means and frame define a three dimensional geometric figure such as a cone, pyramid or the like. Means are provided for adjusting the distance from the joinder point to the frame along with means for hanging the flexible means from a superstructure. Further means are provided for raising and lowering the frame.
