  • Patent number: 11690161
Abstract: A hollow cathode apparatus includes an outer tubular dielectric barrier circumferentially surrounding an outer tubular surface of the cathode tube, the outer tubular dielectric barrier being composed of a barrier material which is electrically non-conductive. Also disclosed is a system comprising the hollow cathode apparatus, an anode which is spaced from the output end of the tubular cathode, and electrical circuitry connected between the cathode tube and the anode for connection to a source of electrical power for providing an electrical potential between the cathode and anode to cause an electric current to pass from the emitter into the input gas to form a plasma which is then output through the output end of the cathode tube to form a plasma plume.

  • Publication number: 20220273029
Abstract: A system and device are provided for dynamically adjusting aerosol formulations of vaporized liquid concentrates that may be inhaled by a user. The device may have one or more cartridges, each having a cartridge chamber. The cartridge chamber has a piston at one end that when pressed ejects a liquid concentrate from an opposite end into a heating chamber. An electrical heating signal heats the heating chamber to vaporize the liquid concentrate to generate an aerosol. An actuator of the device drives the piston. The actuator signal and the electrical heating signal are synchronized to eject and to vaporize the same quantity of liquid concentrate. A microcontroller unit may provide the actuator signal and the electrical heating signal according to a formulation of aerosol that may adjusted by a user during operation. The formulation may specify ratios of aerosols from multiple cartridges.

  • Publication number: 20160367488
Abstract: A new pharmaceutical formulation for retinoid-containing soft gelatin capsules is disclosed. The new formulation comprises a soft gelatin capsule filled with a fill mass comprising a retinoid as an active ingredient, a natural vegetable oil, a partially hydrogenated natural vegetable oil and medium chain triglycerides. Optionally, the new formulation also comprises a natural wax. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the soft gelatin capsule comprises pig gelatin in the capsule shell in combination with the above fill mass.

  • Publication number: 20100024385
Abstract: A pulsed plasma thruster and method of operation are provided. The pulsed plasma thruster comprises solid propellant material. A main discharge source provides a pulsed discharge across the propellant material for ablating the propellant material to produce propellant plasma and accelerating the ablated propellant plasma, and an auxiliary discharge source accelerates late ablated propellant plasma without substantially further ablating the propellant material.
