  • Patent number: 9646211
Abstract: A video analytic system includes a depth stream sensor, spatial analysis module, temporal analysis module, and analytics module. The spatial analysis module iteratively identifies objects of interest based on local maximum or minimum depth stream values within each frame, removes identified objects of interest, and repeats until all objects of interest have been identified. The temporal analysis module associates each object of interest in the current frame with an object of interest identified in a previous frame, wherein the temporal analysis module utilizes the association between current frame objects of interest and previous frame objects of interest to generate temporal features related to each object of interest. The analytics module detects events based on the received temporal features.

  • Publication number: 20130335635
Abstract: A video of a scene includes multiple frames, each of which is registered using sparse registration to spatially align the frame to a reference image of the video. Based on the registered multiple frames as well as both an image domain and a field domain, one or more objects in the video are tracked using particle filtering. Object trajectories for the one or more objects in the video are also generated based on the tracking, and can optionally be used in various manners.

  • Publication number: 20110142335
Abstract: An image comparison system includes a memory unit that stores data representative of target apparel images that depict apparel items. An image processing unit is provided to process a query apparel image to extract data representative of a query apparel item depicted in the query apparel image. The image processing unit determines weighted color and pattern differences between the target apparel images and the query apparel image.
