  • Publication number: 20180178894
Abstract: A bendable element is formed at least from an inflatable envelope, a first bendable, elongate base plate attached to a first face of the inflatable envelope, a second bendable, elongate base plate, attached to a second face of the inflatable envelope and shorter than the first base plate, and links connecting the first base plate to the second base plate. The links are slack when the inflatable envelope is in a deflated state. The action of inflating the inflatable envelope causes the first and second base plates to bend in a direction of curvature extending from the first base plate to the second base plate, by means of the tensioning of the links such that the links extend along radii of curvature common to the first and second base plates while keeping the second base plate centered longitudinally relative to the first base plate.

  • Patent number: 9944380
Abstract: An access device enables controlled or secure communication between different areas of an enclosure and, in the example illustrated in the present application of an aircraft, while providing reduced size. The access device includes at least three mobile walls able to move, independently from one another, to form a closed cylinder, the walls thus being in a so-called security vestibule position, and to overlap at least in twos in order to close off access to one or more areas while concealing the security vestibule, the walls thus being in a so-called retracted position. By overlapping at the access level of said areas that the walls allow to close, the device frees up the adjoining cabin space.

  • Publication number: 20180094761
Abstract: A fluidic piping system for aircraft, comprising a pipe made in a single piece and an insulating sheath surrounding the pipe. The pipe comprises potential cutoff zones defining sections of the fluidic piping system, reinforced zones arranged in pairs on either side of each potential cutoff zone, and non-reinforced zones defined between the pairs of reinforced zones as intermediate zones. An aircraft system, such as a ventilation and air conditioning module for an aircraft avionics bay, can comprise a limited number of such fluidic piping systems, and can easily be repaired by replacing a damaged section of the piping without it being necessary to disassemble the aircraft equipped with such a system.

  • Patent number: 9878790
Abstract: Method of device for installation of avionics cabinets, electrical master boxes and IFE bays includes relocating at least some of the systems cabinets toward the front of the aircraft by making use of the space available in the area around the landing gear compartment. To do so, systems cabinets are used which incorporate a structural function. The use of such system cabinet designs thus allows a reduction in the aerodynamic drag and mass of the aircraft, thereby positively impacting fuel consumption and performance of the aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20170247121
Abstract: A tooling making it possible to mount a module directly in an aircraft without making any modifications to the module. This tooling is made up of upper beams connected to the structure of the aircraft, lower beams secured to the module, lift elements connecting the lower beams to the upper beams and a drive system. The lift elements can move along the upper beams. The drive system makes it possible to convey the module to its functional location in the aircraft, by moving it along the upper beams via the lift elements. • Publication number: 20170182643
Abstract: A method enabling two holes belonging to two parts to be aligned relies on use of a tool, comprising a body, having a first outer surface which gradually wanders from a longitudinal axis of the body as it extends from a first end of the body, and a hollow part having a second outer surface with a complementary section to the section of the holes. The hollow part comprises a hole through which it is removably mounted on the tool so that the second outer surface extends the first outer surface on an opposite side to the first end of the body. The method comprises inserting the first end of the body into the first hole, and then operating the tool to push the body and then the hollow part together into the holes. This method especially applies to the assembly of a floor module to an aircraft fuselage.
