  • Patent number: 7655884
Abstract: An oven has a housing, a heat source, and an aperture defined in the housing. A substantially horizontal deck rotates within the housing, and a number of substantially horizontal pallets are mounted on the deck to rotate relative to the deck. Each pallet has a lip. A source of motive power and a transmission system drive the main deck to revolve within the housing, and also drive the pallets to rotate relative to the main deck. The transmission system constrains rotational movement of the pallets relative to the main deck and causes each pallet to be oriented with its stopping member positioned opposite the aperture whenever that pallet is aligned with the aperture. The oven has a control system that monitors the length of time that an item remains in the oven, permitting items having different cooking times to be cooked simultaneously, even when introduced in a random order.

  • Patent number: 4112761
Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for measuring and recording the changes in magnitude of a variable. The apparatus includes a recording stylus or pencil and a means for carrying a recording medium such as marking paper. The stylus or the means for carrying is connected to a transducer means which follows the changes in magnitude and provides an output to drive the stylus along the width of the paper in one direction when the magnitude is increasing and in the other direction when the magnitude is decreasing. In addition, either the stylus or the means for carrying the paper are connected to rotating means which rotate in one direction only and which are also driven by the output of the transducer. As the rotating means rotates in one direction only, the stylus will produce a straight line along the width of the paper when the output of the transducer is in one direction, and a straight line at an angle to the first line, when the output of the transducer is in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 4036055
Abstract: This invention relates to a liquid level measuring and recording apparatus which includes a recording stylus or pencil and a means for retaining a record such as marking paper. The stylus is connected to a float means which follows the level of the liquid and drives the stylus along the width of the paper in one direction when the level is rising and in the other direction when the level is following. In addition, either the stylus or the paper are connected to rotating means which rotate in one direction only and which are also driven by the up and down movement of the float. As the rotating means rotates in one direction only, the stylus will produce a straight line along the width of the paper when the float is moving in the non-rotating direction, and a straight line at an angle to the first line, when the float is moving in the rotating direction.

  • Patent number: 4021876
Abstract: This invention relates to marking apparatus which is capable of imprinting a complete elongated straight mark on a suitable object or stack of objects without the use of a separate guide means. The apparatus consists of an elongated cylindrical rod which comprises the marking element. The rod is disposed in the legs of a holder which is U shaped in cross section in such a manner that a portion of the side of the rod is disposed within the U and another portion of the side of the rod extends beyond the U. Means are provided for providing ink to the outer surface of the rod, and means are provided for rotating the rod about its longitudinal axis. In operation, the rod is placed up against an object to be marked and the rod is rotated. The rod imprints a pattern with the ink from its surface when it is adjacent the object.
