    Abstract: A detector unit (20) for an image guided surgery system (10) is provided. It includes an adjustable stand (22) having a plurality of receivers (24) mounted thereto such that the detector unit (20) has a predefined finite field of view (80) in which it detects radiant energy. It further includes at least one light source (90) mounted to the adjustable stand (22) in fixed relation to the receivers (24). The at least one light source (90) projects visible light in a predetermined pattern to mark a location of the field of view (80).
