  • Patent number: 6072265
Abstract: Supply circuit for a piezo-electric motor comprising a rotor driven, by friction, by a stator energized by at least two piezo-electric elements (P1, P2) supplied respectively with two alternating voltages (Vp, Va) of like amplitude and phase-shifted by approximately 90.degree. by means of a single source and of a means intended for generating the two phase-shifted voltages. This means consists of a capacitor (C), in series with one of the piezo-electric elements (P2), whose value is chosen so that for a given frequency of the voltage of the source (S), substantially the same voltages and a phase-shift of 90.degree. is obtained. The voltage of the source is advantageously controlled, in frequency, by a processing logic unit (PLU).

  • Patent number: 4622893
Abstract: An automatic high speed hooping station for horizontal hooping of diverse packages contains a barrier device to effect entry of packages, one by one, along their direction of travel, followed by a conveyance assembly. The conveyance assembly includes a rolling double transfer belt, followed in turn by a take-up table provided with an optical detector at its extremity. Along the conveyance assembly there moves reciprocally a push- and loading device for being introduced into an upward travel and holding assembly formed by an ascending platform, a holder trapdoor in a hooping position in an arc of a hooping device, and an upper package discharge device operating by lateral disengagement from a pile of the packages onto an exit ramp. The discharge device includes a push arm articulatably mounted around a point actuated by a cam. The assembly may be moved in translation under the surveillance of a detector.

  • Patent number: 4043390
Abstract: In accordance with an illustrative embodiment of the present invention, there is disclosed herein a device for anchoring downhole apparatus such as a safety valve in a tubing landing nipple, and a running tool for lowering the anchoring device at the end of a wire line into the tubing. The anchoring device comprises a body member that carries locking dogs which are shifted outwardly and engaged by the longitudinal movement of an expander mandrel. An expansible ring that is maintained on the mandrel by shear pins functions to lock the mandrel in the engaged position of the dogs. The running tool comprises a control sleeve having pivotally mounted connecting keys which remain engaged with the mandrel until the locking dogs are properly engaged and which then are released automatically from the mandrel. A safety shear pin makes it possible to free the running tool from the anchoring device in the event of incorrect anchoring of the latter and, when sheared, provides a "tell-tale" of incorrect installation.
