  • Patent number: 11035117
Abstract: A waterstop assembly for use as embedded components in at least a pair of adjacent concrete slabs, defining elongated first and second waterstop panels including a main body sheet to which is mounted by coextrusion or insertion to both of its opposite top and bottom ends a soft expansible flange made from hydrophilic thermoplastic material. Each hydrophilic soft flange has such an expansion capability as to provide strong radially outward pressure applied by the soft flange against the adjacent concrete slabs, thus providing watertight interconnection therebetween. A welding block is taken in sandwich between overlapping transitional end portions of the first and second waterstop panels. Integral ridge and groove connectors interconnect the welding block with the waterstop panels. Resistance wires connected at one end to an electric power source fuse the welding block and the first and second waterstop panels, wherein a watertight joint is formed therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20140166665
Abstract: The water tank comprises a number of peripherally disposed modular wall components, each modular wall component defining a radially inner exposed surface, for direct engagement with the water inside the water tank, and a radially outer form-work area, for receiving liquid concrete to be cured. An integral hinge edgewisely interlocks each pair of successive modular wall components. An expansible joint is mounted into each hinge, wherein the expansible joint cooperates with the hinge so as to releasably interlock the modular wall components in their peripherally disposed fashion. The expansible joint provides a water tight seal at the hinge when soaked in water for a sufficient period of time. A second bevelled seal joint is further mounted against the hinge adjacent each wall component inner exposed surface spacedly from and radially inwardly from the expansible joint. Both first and second seal joints are for direct liquid engagement with the water tank water.

  • Patent number: 7837174
Abstract: A formwork assembly for casting a concrete structure includes a support member for supporting a conventional armature grid if any, further including at least one liquid-tight and load-bearing formwork wall connected to the support member. The formwork wall includes at least two panels, each defining a peripheral edging having at least one first dovetail joint element about its peripheral edging. Each formwork wall also has a panel connector having at least two second dovetail joint elements, each second dovetail joint element being complementary to the first dovetail joint element of a corresponding panel and is interlocked with the first dovetail joint element of a corresponding panel to form a dovetail joint, the connector holding the panels in an edgewisely juxtaposed fashion to form a continuous formwork wall. The formwork assembly includes a securing member for securing the connector and panels together, and a supporting structure for supporting the formwork wall.

The formwork wall includes at least two panels each defining a peripheral edging, each one of the panels having at least one first dovetail joint means about its peripheral edging. Each formwork wall also comprises a panel connector having at least two second dovetail joint means, each second dovetail joint means being complementary to the first dovetail joint means of a corresponding panel; wherein each second dovetail joint means of the connector is interlocked with the first dovetail joint means of a corresponding panel to form a dovetail joint therewith, in order for the connector to hold the panels in an edgewisely juxtaposed fashion to form a continuous formwork wall.

  • Patent number: 5608999
Abstract: An assembly of extruded thermoplastic structural components for use in the construction of a building, each structural component including an elongated rigid sheet member provided with at least two integral lengthwise edgewise rails. The structural components include first flat wall structural components and second elbowed corner structural components, wherein a few of the structural components releasably slidingly interlock with one another about their rails to form a hollow elongated panel. The inside cell of the hollow panel receives concrete to be poured. The hollow panel releasably interlocks with adjacent hollow panels successively to form a continuous wall structure. The structural components in their disassembled state released from one another are compactly stackable in the smallest volume of storage, whereby shipping costs from the home country manufacture to the local building site are very low.
