  • Patent number: 4857458
Abstract: An installation for facilitating the recovery of energy from waste and residues is disclosed. According to the invention, the residues, after sieving, are subjected to bacterial digestion in a methanization reactor and the solid phase of the digestate is then subjected to incineration in a furnace which in turn supplies a heat recuperator. The furnace is supplied with methane by the digester. The heated fumes from the recuperator may be used for heating at least one secondary circuit, e.g., for heating the residues during their treatment in the digester and/or for heating the liquid phase of the digestate, before the heated fumes are recycled through the digester.

  • Patent number: 4768448
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and an installation for neutralizing acid fumes coming in particular from the combustion of residues.According to the invention, the combustion vapor and fumes laden with anhydrides and acids are neutralized after passage in the exchanger (19) by counter-flow encounter with a flow of a neutralizing liquid of basic pH constituted by a slurry formed on the one hand by water and on the other hand by the ashes coming from said combustion furnace and placed in suspension and/or solution in said aqueous phase.

Abstract: A process for recovery of energy from waste and residues is disclosed. The residues, after sieving, are subjected to bacterial digestion in a methanization reactor and the solid phase of the digestate is then subjected to incineration in a furnace supplying a heat recuperator, the furnace being supplied with complementary combustible by the methane coming from the digester, while the circuit of the fumes downstream of the recuperator is used for heating by at least one secondary circuit, the magma in the course of treatment in the digester and/or the sludge separated from the digestate before recycling thereof towards the digester.
