  • Patent number: 6994278
Abstract: The spraying device comprises: a tubular body which defines a chamber connected to a supply of water under pressure, a nozzle (1) with atomizer and a constriction organ in the form of a valve (6) in order to form a thin-walled hollow jet. The orifice (7) of the nozzle comprises a surface shaping the jet which is arranged to produce at the level of this latter an asymmetry of rotation. The spraying device preferably comprises two nozzles centered in the same plane and forming between them an angle which is of the order of 80°. The valves of these two nozzles are controlled simultaneously by appropriate elements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 30, 2003
Date of Patent: February 7, 2006
    Assignee: York Neige
Inventors: Michel Galvin, Eric David, Bernard Pergay

  • Patent number: 6719209
Abstract: A spray head includes a sleeve provided with sprayers and divided into several chambers by a core element with several internal partitions. Each chamber is fed by passages and the main chamber is fed by a passage which passes through the cap, the cap including at least a spraying device in the form of a mini snow gun operating as nucleator.

  • Patent number: 6508412
Abstract: A nucleation device associated with a spray head and operating by either internal mixing or external mixing. The ratio air/water is not less than 200 and the pressurized water is supplied by the spray head nozzles, which, by simple circulation of water, at the nucleation device, prevents freezing problems. The nucleation device includes a part in the shape of a spray tip for high speed spraying of compressed air and parts in the shape small diameter nozzles for spraying pressurized water into the air stream.

  • Patent number: 5257484
Abstract: Shelter for snow-covering installations is provided with a prefabricated monobloc casing made of polyethylene type material obtained by rotational molding. This casing includes, at its lower part, elements for positioning and for directly anchoring to water and air pipes used to supply the snow guns. The bottom of the casing is provided with grooves enabling the casing to be positioned and centered on the water and air pipes. There is also provided a belt equipped with buckles for fastening of straps which provide connection between the shelter and the water and air pipes.
