Abstract: A force-measuring apparatus is provided having a first plate, a second plate disposed above the first plate and spaced apart from the first plate, an optical sensor having at least one optical fiber disposed between the first plate and the second plate, and a clamp for moving the first plate and the second plate together to compress the optical fiber, thereby applying a prestressing force to the fiber to reduce eccentricity effects.

Abstract: A weight sensor includes a test body in the form of a bar carrying strain gauges, the bar bending due to the effect of the weight to be measured. The bar extends inside a frame, one end of the bar being joined to the frame, its other end being free with respect to the frame and having a bearing surface designed to be subjected to a force in the opposite direction to a reaction force applied to a bearing surface of the frame. The entire sensor is made in one piece in the form of a flat block.

Abstract: The weighing apparatus comprises a base (1) and a receiving platform (2) for the load to be weighed, parallel to said base, a test body (3) extending between the base (1) and the platform (2), the opposite ends (3a, 3b) of which are fixed rigidly to the base (1) and to the platform (2) respectively, one (3c) of the faces of the test body (3) comprising strain gauges associated with an electric circuit.The test body (3), molded in one single piece with the base (1) and the platform (2), is recessed.Used in particular for making bathroom scales.
