  • Publication number: 20070095043
Abstract: A machine comprising one or several processing stations, integrates in a combined and successive manner, according to a same work position: a spindle for twisting and/or cabling a yarn, thermosetting apparatus comprising a rotating heating godet, followed by an accumulator capable of cooling and relaxing the yarn in a totally free state, without tension, and a bobbin for winding the yarn, the bobbin being secured to yarn guiding and driving bodies.

  • Patent number: 5943851
Abstract: A yarn tensioning unit for use in a textile machine that includes a shaft having a pulley mounted for rotation thereon over which yarn is conducted. A pneumatic cylinder is slidably mounted on the shaft which contains a piston that is affixed to the shaft to form an expandable chamber with one end wall of the cylinder. The opposite end wall of the housing is magnetically coupled to the pulley to establish a magnetic brake for the pulley. The spacing between the cylinder end wall and the pulley is adjusted by controlling the flow of fluid into and out of the expandable chamber to vary the magnetic braking force exerted upon the pulley.

  • Patent number: 5060885
Abstract: A yarn tension device of the type including three rollers mounted freely rotatably on a support housing, at least one of these rollers being subjected to the action of an adjustable permanent-magnet braking system (or magnetic brake), and the yarn, during its movement being deflected around the periphery of the rollers, the movement of the yarn upstream and downstream of the tension assembly being executed in a common direction called the "running axis". The rollers are mounted on the support housing in such a way that:first and second rollers, called "entry rollers" are arranged in the vicinity of the yarn introduction zone such that their axes are on either side of the running axis and are maintained in contact, at least one of these rollers having an adjustable braking device; anda third roller, called an "exit roller", itself is positioned downstream of the first and second rollers in the direction of travel of the yarn, its surface being tangent to the running axis.
