  • Patent number: 11125624
Abstract: An infra-red imaging device comprising: a cryostat (4), an infra-red detector (6) arranged inside the cryostat (4) to receive an optical signal coming from outside the imaging device, a linear polarizer configured to polarize the optical signal along a variable direction of polarization, before the optical signal reaches the infra-red detector (6), the linear polarizer comprising: a first polarizing element (22) arranged outside the cryostat (4) and movable in rotation with respect to the cryostat (4), and a second polarizing element (24) arranged inside the cryostat (4) between the first polarizing element (22) and the infra-red detector (6) and fixed with respect to the cryostat (4).

  • Patent number: 7500367
Abstract: A cooled cryostat device comprising: a cold finger having infrared detector means secured to the end thereof; an outer casing surrounding the cold finger; and stiffener means for stiffening the cold finger and interposed between the outer casing and the cold finger in the vicinity of the end thereof. The stiffener means comprising: first eyelets provided on the inside of the casing and around its periphery; second eyelets provided on the outside of the cold finger around its periphery; the first and second eyelets being mutually angularly offset; and a cable tensioned around a closed loop between the outer casing and the cold finger and passing freely through the first and second eyelets, with the cable, once the cold finger has been placed in a balanced situation, itself being secured to the outer casing and to the cold finger.

  • Patent number: 7497085
Abstract: A cooler machine using the Stirling cycle and comprising: at least one compressor with a compressor piston movable in a compression cyclinder; a regenerator with a regenerator piston movable in a regeneration cyclinder placed at a given angle relative to the compression cyclinder; a rotary drive crank; and two connecting rods, respectively a compressor connecting rod coupled to the compressor piston, and a regenerator connecting rod coupled to the regenerator piston, and both coupled to the crank with a mutual angular offset; the compressor and/or regenerator connecting rod is arranged to be of length that is variable over a rotation of the crank in such a manner that the movement of the corresponding piston is least slowed down on passing through top and/or bottom dead center.

  • Patent number: 7427759
Abstract: Method of identifying an infrared matrix sensor, characterized in that, for at least some of the pixels of the sensor matrix, information concerning the position of the pixel in the matrix is recorded and information concerning at least one characteristic of each of the pixels is determined, and in that all of these pairs of information associated with the respective pixels (or mapping) are kept in memory as sensor identifier information.

  • Publication number: 20070084221
Abstract: A cooled cryostat device (1) comprising: a cold finger (2) having infrared detector means secured to the end thereof; an outer casing (4) surrounding the cold finger; and stiffener means (5) for stiffening the cold finger and interposed between the outer casing and the cold finger in the vicinity of the end thereof. The stiffener means (5) comprise: first eyelets (8) provided on the inside of the casing (4) and around its periphery; second eyelets (9) provided on the outside of the cold finger (2) around its periphery; the first and second eyelets being mutually angularly offset; and a cable (10) tensioned around a closed loop between the outer casing and the cold finger and passing freely through the first and second eyelets, with the cable, once the cold finger has been placed in a balanced situation, itself being secured to the outer casing and to the cold finger.
