  • Patent number: 6398169
Abstract: Installation device (4) for installing one or more longitudinally extending elements (2) on a panel. This device comprises a U-shaped retainer (1) to surround transversely the longitudinally extending elements (2), having flexible arms (20, 24) each provided with a series of notches (22,26). This device also comprise a base (30) having, corresponding to each arm, an inclined traversing passage (42) whose inlet opening (41) is located in the face opposite the retainer and show outlet opening (43) is located in the face opposite the retainer and whose outlet opening (43) is located in a lateral face of the base, each passage of the base (30) having a retaining hook (44) for the notch (22, 26) of the corresponding arm (20, 24) of the retainer, each flexible arm (20, 24) engaging in each corresponding inclined traversing passage (42) until the notches (22, 26) lock in the respective hooks (44) of the respective passages (42) to secure the longitudinally extending elements (2) to the base.

  • Patent number: 6211465
Abstract: The invention relates to a connecting box for fitting a tube to the aperture of a wall. This box includes at least two shells which are connected by a hinge at their common longitudinal joining face and are completed by locking means at their opposing longitudinal joining face, defining, once folded back and locked on one another, a rear part capable of receiving and retaining the end of the tube as well as a front sleeve including a thread designed to receive an integral nut behind the wall or to be screwed in the possible tapping in the aperture. The edges of the joining faces at least of the rear portion and the supporting surface delimiting the sleeve and this rear portion are equipped with a continuous strip or a layer of flexible sealing material.

  • Patent number: 6096975
Abstract: A grooved tubular protective sheath (10) with a slot and a longitudinal flange. In particular, the flange (24) is provided on one edge (16) of the slot substantially at the bottom of the grooves (12) and positionable under the other slot edge (17). The grooves are closed at the edges (16, 17) of the slot by transverse walls (22). A method for manufacturing a grooved sheath includes extruding and molding an annular sheath with a longitudinal flat strip level with flute edge hollows, cutting the flat strip along one of its flute edges to form a tongue that is integral only with the other flute edge. The method further includes heating the sheath and cooling it, while passing it between cones or calenders to bring the flute edges together, whereby the tongue passes between the cut edge. A device for making a grooved sheath includes a molding machine with two series of symmetrical parallel shells.

  • Patent number: 5626167
Abstract: A tubular sheath made from plastic material used for the mechanical and/or thermal protection of electric cabling is wrapped in a strip of sound-insulating material, the lateral parts of which have been inserted inside the sheath through the slit. The width of the strip, preferably produced from felt, is substantially equal to the sum of the external and internal perimeters of the plastic sheath.
