Abstract: A storage stable one-component air curable urethane coating composition having improved color, abrasion resistance and weather resitance comprising at least twenty percent by weight of resin solids of a compound comprising at least one oxazolidine ring chemically combined from the nitrogen atom of the ring through an alkylene-urethane linking group to a tetramethylxylylenediisocyanate prepolymer radical.The invention also comprises the method for preparing the compound and composition and a method for coating a surface by applying the composition of the invention to the surface and exposing the applied composition to air having a relative humidity of at least 10% and incudes an article coated with the cured composition.

Abstract: Improved polyolefin foams, particularly polystyrene foams, and improved extrusion processability thereof are obtained by employing as blowing agent a mixture of from about 3 to about 70 weight percent monochloromonofluoromethane and from about 97 to about 30 weight percent of dichlorodifluoromethane.

Abstract: Constant boiling and essentially constant boiling compositions comprising from about 99 - 72 weight percent trichlorofluoromethane, from about 0.5 - 15 weight percent isopentane and from about 0.5 - 13 weight percent methylene chloride are novel compositions which are particularly useful as blowing agents in the preparation of polyurethane foams.

Abstract: An aerosol latex paint formulation is provided by emulsifying a latex paint in a liquid propellant composition which is a hydrocarbon or a halogenated hydrocarbon and which contains a cationic surfactant which is an ethylene oxide adduct of certain amines. The formulation is placed in a container suitably equipped with a spray nozzle. Preferably a wetting agent is also incorporated in the liquid component to provide better paint application.

Abstract: An aerosol paint composition is provided which is composed of a dispersion of an alkyd or polyester resin, containing a pigment, in a liquid medium. The liquid medium has two components the first of which is a mixture of 30 to 50 percent of an aromatic hydrocarbon and 50 to 70 percent of a halogenated hydrocarbon, the mixture having a boiling point between 70.degree. - 150.degree.C, and, the second of which is a liquified normally gaseous halogenated hydrocarbon having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and a boiling point below about 25.degree.C.

Abstract: A novel curing agent and method for using same. The curing agent comprises from about 60 to about 70 weight percent triethanolamine, from about 20 to about 35 weight percent of a selected aromatic diamine and from about 5 to about 20 weight percent of a mixture of at least two aromatic polyamine compounds, each having the general formula: ##SPC1##Wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently at each occurrence H, halogen, lower alkyl or amine, x is 0 or an integer of 1 to 15 provided that if one of the compounds in said mixture is the selected aromatic diamine then said mixture comprises at least 40 percent by weight of two compounds having the above general formula other than said selected aromatic diamine. The process comprises using the novel curing agent in the manufacture of polyurethane foam.
