  • Publication number: 20240406766
Abstract: Techniques for determining coverage of a plurality of sensors or emitters in a physical environment are presented. The techniques include: providing a computer model of the physical environment; positioning a scope of coverage shape for each sensor or emitter in the model of the physical environment; specifying a required coverage shape; obtaining an indication of a required level of redundancy; iteratively building a graph based on the of scope of coverage shapes and the required coverage shape; pruning the graph based at least on the required level of redundancy; consolidating terminal nodes of the graph to identify a part of the required coverage shape that is not covered by the plurality of sensors or emitters with the required level of redundancy; and outputting a representation of the part of the required coverage shape that is not covered by the plurality of sensors or emitters with the required level of redundancy.

  • Publication number: 20240220832
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure include a method for providing machine learning inferences as a service. The method includes receiving, via an application programming interface (API) of an edge-based inference service system, a request for a machine learning inference from a client device. The method also includes forwarding, via the API, the request to one or more edge computing resources. The one or more edge computing resources include one or more edge computing resource nodes, and the API may interface with one or more hardware devices of the one or more edge computing resource nodes based on the request. The method further includes generating, via the one or more edge computing resource nodes, the machine learning inference. In addition, the method includes sending, via the API, the machine learning inference to the client device.

  • Publication number: 20240192697
Abstract: A method computer system and computer program product are provided for performing remote operations by enhanced telepresence. A set of physical robots in a three-dimensional (3D) space in which is contained a physical object. The set of physical robots includes cameras separated by one or more distances between the cameras. Using at least two of the cameras, images are captured, and a parallax measurement is generated. A 3D virtual reality environment is generated that includes a space representation of the 3D space and an object virtual representation of the physical object. The robot virtual representation includes a point-of-view located about on the set of physical robots. The 3D virtual reality environment is projected using a virtual reality projector.

  • Publication number: 20240193849
Abstract: A method including receiving a data structure including a model including a virtual object. The virtual object has spatial elements that form an area of the virtual object. The method also includes applying a ray tracing algorithm to the model. The ray tracing algorithm directs virtual rays from a remote point in the model towards the virtual object. The method also includes determining intersection values. Each of the intersection values represents a corresponding number of times that the virtual rays intersect a corresponding one of the spatial elements. The method also includes generating, from the intersection values, a coverage value representing a percentage of the area that is covered by the virtual rays. The method also includes returning the coverage value.

  • Publication number: 20230340845
Abstract: Computing systems, computer-readable media, and methods for processing data are described herein. A method can include detecting a processing capability of respective devices of a plurality of devices and storing indicators each of which represents the processing capability of the respective devices of the plurality of devices. Additionally, the method can include detecting, from a first device of the plurality of devices, a request to execute a resource extraction instruction using the stored indicators and selecting, based on the stored indicators, a second device to execute the resource extraction instruction. The method can include forwarding the request to a second device, retrieving a result for the request from the second device, and returning the result to the first device.
