Abstract: Inclusion blocks of a substance chosen from ion exchange resins contaminated with radioactive elements, water which can, where appropriate, contain pollutants, solid-phase wastes in the form of blocks or pulverised preparations or liquid-phase wastes are prepared. For this purpose, the substances(s) to be included is/are embedded in a (meth)acrylic resin obtained in situ by direct polymerisation, without prior preparation of a prepolymer syrup, using a monomer system based on at least one (meth)acrylic monomer possessing a high boiling point, such as dicyclopentadienyloxyethyl methacrylate.Application to the storage of industrial pollutants, in particular substances contaminated with radioactive elements; and application of the water-inclusion blocks as prosthesis materials.

Abstract: These acrylic copolymers, which are useful as coatings, in particular as soil-repellent coatings for the building industry, comprise, per 100 parts by weight:about 20 to 95 parts of at least one alkyl acrylate or methacrylate whose alkyl group has 1 to 10 carbon atoms or aryl acrylate or methacrylate whose aryl group has 6 to 10 carbon atoms,about 5 to 50 parts of at least one aminated methacrylate of the formula: ##STR1## in which n is an integer between 1 and 20 and R.sub.1 is an alkyl radical having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and about 0 to 65 parts of at least one fluorinated alkyl (meth)acrylate.

Abstract: Acrylic copolymer comprising, per 100 parts by weight:approximately from 2 to 65 parts by weight of at least one polyoxyether (meth)acrylate of formula: ##STR1## in which: R.sub.1 is a methyl radical or a hydrogen atom,R.sub.2 is a hydrocarbon radical containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms,1.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.20 and 1.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.20,from 1 to 6 parts by weight of (meth)acrylic anhydride,from 0 to 65 parts by weight of at least one fluoroalkyl (meth)acrylate, andfrom 0 to 97 parts by weight of at least one alkoxyalkyl (meth)acrylate.Process for coating a bituminous material, according to which the said material is coated with a formulation comprising an aqueous dispersion of a copolymer such as defined above.

Abstract: Water-absorbing resin based on acrylic acid and on dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate.It comprises from 40 to 60% on a molar basis of acrylic acid, at least partially in salt form if appropriate, and from 60 to 40% on a molar basis of at least one dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate, at least partially in salt form or quaternized if appropriate. It is manufactured by copolymerization either in aqueous solution or in an inverse emulsion, in the presence of at least one free-radical generator.Application to the production of articles capable of absorbing aqueous liquids.
