  • Patent number: 11326021
Abstract: Bellows, for example, a roll bellows and a folding bellows, can be produced that can be used at higher temperatures such as those prevailing in modern articulated constructions, using a mixture comprising at least one thermoplastic elastomer selected from the group of copolysters with a hard segment and a soft segment, wherein in a first step the at least one thermoplastic elastomer is mixed with approximately 0.8 wt. % to approximately 5 wt. % triallyl isocyanurate, based on the total amount of the mixture; in a second step the bellows is produced; and in a third step, the bellows is exposed to an ionizing irradiation in a range from approximately 140 kGy to approximately 350 kGy.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 18, 2018
Date of Patent: May 10, 2022
    Assignee: GKN Driveline International GmbH
Inventors: Thorsten Stresewski, Joachim Wette, Frank Reher, Bernd Bender
  • Patent number: 11248661
Abstract: A rolling boot that has improved stability especially at increased rotational speeds comprises a first fastening region, a second fastening region, a transition region adjacent to the first fastening region, as well as a diaphragm region adjoining the transition region, and at least on peripheral reinforcement fin is arranged on an external side of the transition region.

  • Patent number: 7648011
Abstract: A drive assembly for the driveline of a motor vehicle with an axle which can be driven when required. The drive assembly includes a drive and a multi-plate coupling. The drive comprises a drive housing with a sleeve-shaped projection in which a drive input shaft is rotatably supported. The multi-plate coupling which is rotatably supported in a coupling housing connected to the drive housing comprises a coupling input part for introducing torque and a coupling output part connected to the drive input shaft in a rotationally fast way. The multi-plate coupling is arranged coaxially on the outside relative to the sleeve-shaped projection and partially axially covers the latter.

  • Patent number: 4478245
Abstract: An electrically controllable valve assembly for hydraulic adjustment of a piston includes a pilot valve controllable by an electronic controller. The pilot valve has a spool and a restrictor array comprising first and second variable restrictor means and a fixed restrictor means, through which flows an auxiliary bleedflow of hydraulic fluid. The variable restrictor means are adjusted in opposite directions in order to produce from the bleed flow a control pressure which is responsible for positioning of the piston of the valve assembly. A pressure drop is taken off at the fixed restrictor means, and acts on the spool to produce a negative feedback action, thereby always to produce a given displacement control flow, irrespective of the system pressure, while avoiding control oscillations.
