  • Publication number: 20230303448
Abstract: The invention relates to ZrO2-reinforced mullite fibers having a content of at least 0.1 wt. % of crystalline ZrO2, said mullite fibers being distinguished by significantly improved mechanical properties compared to unmodified mullite fibers. The invention further relates to processes for manufacturing such fibers, green fibers produced as an intermediate product in the process, and the use of the ZrO2-reinforced mullite fibers in fibre-matrix composite materials.

  • Patent number: 10066807
Abstract: A lamp for arranging in a façade construction having a pot-like housing or a carrier element, in particular a circuit board, having LEDs arranged therein or thereon, an optical unit associated with the LEDs, and a transparent cover, which together with the housing or the carrier element encloses the LEDs, wherein the optical unit is an integral component of the cover and the cover is adhesively bonded to the housing or to the carrier element.

Date of Patent: September 4, 2018
    Assignee: ZUMTOBEL LIGHTING GMBH
Inventors: Bernd Clauss, Norbert Peter, Stefan Schwarzmann
  • Patent number: 9464766
Abstract: A facade light having a housing for accommodating a lighting device, operating devices and terminals, including light-emitting diodes as the lighting device and lenses for distributing the light emitted by the light-emitting diodes, wherein at least two light-emitting diodes are combined to form LED clusters (1) and a lens (2) is assigned to each LED cluster. The light emitted by the light-emitting diodes of the LED cluster passes through the lens, which is configured in such a way that it generates an elliptical distribution of light. The housing is divided into at least two sections, the first section having space for operating devices and a second section, to the side, containing at least one LED cluster and each LED cluster being coupled to a device for dissipating the heat that arises during operation.

  • Publication number: 20100009187
Abstract: The invention relates to polycrystalline corundum fibers substantially consisting of corundum and an oxide of the elements of the main groups I or II of the periodic table. The crystallites of said corundum fibers have the following grain size distribution: 0 to 0.15 micrometers (34%), 0.15 to 0.29 micrometers (55%) and 0.29 to 0.43 micrometers (11%). Said corundum fibers are produced by mixing nuclei and an oxide former of the elements of the main groups I or II of the periodic table with an aluminium chlorohydrate, by adding a water-soluble polymer, then by spinning fibers from said mixture and by calcining said fibers at temperatures above 1100° C.
